Joshua Ray

My name is Joshua Ray and my wife, Lauren, and I live in Northern California with our three young boys. I received a B.A. in English Literature at California State University, Long Beach and an MDiv from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary (now Gateway Seminary).

I serve as the bivocational Worship Pastor at our local church and write about J.R.R. Tolkien under the nom de plum “JRR Jokien” in my “Jokien with Tolkien” newsletter.

I love learning, reading, writing, parenting, ministry, black coffee, J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, and more.
